On Wed., July 21st, 2010, at the Gander Mtn facility in Middletown, NY Dr James Zgoda
of Otterkill Animal Hospital presented a fascinating talk and view of diseases as they
relate to the GSP. The event was hosted by the club, with the able assistance of Sandy
Clark, who made the arrrangements and also provided refreshments. Our President
John Ratcliff made the Introduction, highlighting the many accomplishments of Dr.
Zgoda, noting that he has been in practice over 15 years at his facility in Campbell Hall, NY.

It was a well attended event, despite serious problems with the weather. Several people
later indicated that they were unable to attended and had to cancel due to the weather and
traffic conditions. Nontheless, I think that all attendees  gainded some specific and then
general additional knowledge of problems and solutions relating the the GSP breed.

I want to thank Dr. Zgoda on behalf of the club for a thoughtful and insightful talk, especialy in regard to the question and answers that occurred throughout the presentation. Perhaps, in the
future, another event, specifically related to Breeding and the GSP might be forthcoming.

Having a ball with our new pup Elle!  What energy, way more than what I have unfortunately.  She's beautiful, growing, strong and healthy.  What a hoot.
