The Sleepy Hollow German Shorthaired Pointer Club is an AKC sanctioned Specialty Club that was formed in the early 1990's. We began as a small unit of very dedicated GSP people. Over the years we have continued to grow as we expand our horizons for the health and welfare of our breed.
Our club encourages and promotes the responsible breeding of the purebred German Shorthaired Pointer. We urge Members and Breeders to accept the standard of the GSP as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence. The SHGSP Club conducts sanctioned and licensed Specialty Breed Shows, Field Events and Obedience Trials under the regulations as set forth by the AKC.
Most of all, the SHGSP club is about the knowledge and the exchange of knowledge in the different areas of expertise and interest within our membership.
